The Written Word / Re: Great Quotations
« on: May 23, 2013, 02:32:42 PM »
Oh and let,s not forget this one:  The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds- pretty standard really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum... it's breathtaking- I highly suggest you try it.

Nothing is so common as the wish to be remarkable.
Shakespeare

I believe this to be true of most men.

What we think, or what we know, or what we believe is, in the end, of little consequence. The only consequence is what we do.
John Ruskin   I like this saying because let's face most people do nothing of consequence. It also inspires me to try and do the best I can each day

Maybe you could forgive Meta and his incompetence and reinvent a plan for TDD to be successful.

Hey!!! When you gotta go, you gotta go.
Maybe they should make the aisles narrower, or just put rolls of magic paper more accessible to all of the shoppers???

In other words... Just plain gross (and not in that 144 perspective)

Your right when you say its gross but its also just mind boggling what people will do do

Banal & Insipid / trees attack
« on: April 03, 2013, 05:59:55 PM »
Forget the zombie apocalypse its the trees we have to worry about. Yes the trees are fighting back against man and his destruction of mother nature. It seems a Iowa man using a tree for target practice barley survived a ricochet from the tree that struck him.
This is not the only incident on record. In Illinois a man cutting down a tree died when it fell on him.
A Houston man clearing a fallen tree was attack by a nearby tree that fell unexpectedly on him, killing him.
We all can agree that mother nature is fighting back with global warming, flooding rains and droughts and it seems very clear that trees will be her wooden soldiers in this battle.

Hot Off the Press! / roaches take greyhound bus ride
« on: March 19, 2013, 06:51:07 PM »
Shortly after the Greyhound bus left the station roaches started to crawl out of every corner of the bus terrorizing passengers. People riding the bus soon realized roaches were falling of the ceiling of the bus and crawling out of seats and air vents.
Wow now even the roaches are to lazy to walk.
